Summer Internship Opportunity with the
EAGLE Scholars Program

The Vickery Meadow EAGLE Scholars teaching internship is an incredible summer opportunity where you get to utilize your talents and skills to Inspire, Engage, and Encourage middle and high school students and help them get to college.


The EAGLE Scholars Internship begins June 3rd, 2024 and runs for eight (8) consecutive weeks, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., until July 26th, 2024. Interns are employed through the CitySquare AmeriCorps program, which works in conjunction with the EAGLE Scholars program. Interns must meet CitySquare AmeriCorps qualifications and training requirements in order to serve with EAGLE Scholars. 

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS AND STIPEND INFORMATION 

Interns will receive a living allowance of $3,000 and a $1,459 education award after completing their 300 hours of summer service. 

If you will be entering your third year of college in the fall semester or if you are a recent college graduate (within 2 years), please complete BOTH of the applications below to apply for the EAGLE Scholars Internship.

During the in-person 8-week summer program, you will:

  • Actively engage in planning, creating, and facilitating lessons, lesson planning, curriculum support, and instruction/delivery to Scholars

  • Lead project-based activities that help Scholars create change in their own neighborhood and beyond

  • Encourage and engage authentically and appropriately with Scholars sharing your experiences, lessons learned, best advice, and knowledge

  • Chaperone and participate in weekly field trips and college visits to actively expose Scholars to new opportunities

  • Celebrate, respect, and engage in creating an inclusive, respectful environment celebrating the unique multicultural diversity within our Scholars and organization.
